| Highlights: | The MV Carpe Vita is brand new luxury 38 m long motor safari yacht with a wooden hull, designed and built by an experienced Maldivian boat builder which was completed end of February 2011. It has 3 decks plus a sundeck. accompanied by a specially designed new 61 foot diving dhoni (diving tender) to meet the needs and comfort of the divers today. The Carpe Vita Explorer is a luxurious boat, with gourmet food. | Itinerary: | North & South Male & Ari Atolls Day 1: Male. Guests board vessel around 3 pm; Captain’s briefing, document check; check out dive. Approximately 1-1/2 hr crossing from port to North Male. Day 2: North Male, 1 dive; North Ari, 3 dives. Approximately 3 hr crossing from North Male to North Ari and approximately a 2 hr crossing time between site in North Ari. Night spent anchored. Day 3-4: North Ari, 4 dives daily. Night spent anchored. Day 5: North Ari, 1 dive; South Ari, 3 dives. Night spent anchored. Day 6-7: South Ari, 4 dives. Night-time crossing to Vaavu, approximately 3 ½ hr (as weather permits). Day 8: Vaavu, 4 dives. Day 9: Vaavu, 3 dives; South Male, 1 dive. Approximately 2 ½ hr crossing from Vaavu to South Male after third dive. Day 10: South Male, 1 dive. May have additional dives based on guest flight schedules and the 24 hour requirement before flying. Day 11: Depart the vessel by 8 am. Due to the necessity of readying the vessel for our next cruise, we must strictly enforce the 8 am departure. |
