It was in a calm, protected bay off Alor Island. I had a new buddy for this dive, and I was a bit worried because he has a habit of sucking his tank dry, then continue diving with air from his buddy's tank (or "ngempeng" in Indonesian). On a previous night dive, he even refused to carry a torch, and relied on his poor buddy instead. But on this particular dive with me, he was on his best buddy behaviour. He even ended the dive early (still with some air in his tank!!) - although I found out later it was not out of courtesy, he was just cold hehehe...
Mini Wall proved to be a great night dive site. There were loads of moray eels and sea snakes slithering all over the reef, as well as numerous seriously obese nudibranchs.
